FISH Platform Work
We hold two meetings a year for participants to exchange knowledge, share ideas and work together for practical improvements and wider adoption of the international fishing safety conventions.
Our FISH Platform conference is focused on a different region of the world every year.
Members participate in a range of working groups to contribute to key topics and updates for international safety regulations including:
- STCW revision
- Data Standardisation and incident reporting in global fishing
- Stability
- Fishing Vessel Construction Standards

"Sustainability is not only about the planet and profit but also about people. Fishers should be recognized as key actors in securing healthy and nutritious food. They perform an essential role that benefits us all, and their work deserves to be appreciated and valued for the vital contribution they make to our society."
— Cor Blonk, Chair of FISH Platform
